Fanny Ardant is one of the most prestigious French actresses, but who also shines through his quest for silence and anonymity. The actress, who is preparing to celebrate her 75th birthday this spring, is back this Wednesday March 13, 2024 in a new film called The kings of the trackdirected by Thierry Klifa, and in which she opposite Mathieu Kassovitz and Ben Attal, the grandson of Serge Gainsbourg. In this new feature film, the septuagenarian plays the role of Rachel, a Ma Dalton who raised her two children and her grandson in the art of scam. Asked by Tele-Leisure, Fanny Ardant revealed that she was considering retirement. But to be sure to be serene and not disturbed by fans, the actress plans to leave everything behind and move to Scotland, near British pubs whose atmosphere she particularly likes: “I’m still thinking about it! I won’t go to the South, I’ll meet all the people from Paris there, but rather in Scotland. And not far from a pub, in case I want to see people again humans” she explained.

To combat these obstacles, Fanny Ardant drowns her demons in cinema, and filming proves to be her best anxiolytic: “We are protected from everything. That’s also why I like filming: there is a beginning, a middle, an end; we are very united, because we are all running towards the same goal , and we are sure to see people again the next day. It’s like a big vacation.” In a few months, Fanny Ardant will be seen in an American thriller called American Staralongside Ian McShane and Adam Nagaitis.
