At 69, northern cyclist Benoît Dupire wants to break the hour record

Benoît Dupire is a miracle. In 2018, he was the victim of a serious road accident. He is hit, on his bike, by a car. Assessment: 13 fractures, head trauma and pneumothorax. Three months after being placed in intensive care, he was back on his home trainer, with this goal in mind: to beat the hour record in his age category.

France Bleu Nord went to meet him a few hours before this attempt. Last Tuesday, Benoît Dupire trained at Stab de Roubaix. On the program, in particular, rehearsals of standing starts.
