Astros return to World Series

The Houston Astros will be in their third World Series in five years, after they won their American League Championship Series against the Boston Red Sox in six games, with a final 5-0 victory on Friday at the Minute Maid. Park.

Crowd-favorite starting pitcher Luis Garcia (1-1) made sure to help his offense. In five and two-thirds innings of work, he only allowed one hit and one walk to opposing hitters. He also spent seven in the mitt, before relinquishing his place.

A one-point double from Yordan Alvarez in the first set was one of the home side’s only offensive successes in the first half of the game.

In the sixth round, Kyle Tucker offered a second moment of celebration to the spectators present in Houston. Even though he compromised himself in a double play, he allowed Alvarez to complete a diamond lap.

Tucker produced three more runs in a more concrete way, in his eighth round at bat, when he sent the ball out of bounds. Alvarez and Carlos Correa were on the trails then.

For their part, the Braves hitters were limited to just two hits from a safe place and as many walks. Ten of them were taken out on takes.

To return to the Astros, the Texan formation had beaten the Los Angeles Dodgers in seven games, in 2017, during their first World Series. However, they had dropped the flag in seven games against the Washington Nationals in 2019. They will now have to wait for the winner of the series between the Dodgers and the Atlanta Braves, in order to know the identity of their next opponents.
