Emerge in the middle of a pandemic? Fredz turned his bedroom into a studio for his pop, YouTube and TikTok his scenes, and quickly garnered astonishing success (more than four million streams for As it seems). But Fredz has a talent: he puts together meticulous, precise and flowing texts, tailor-made for his flow. At not even 20 years old, he arrives with a proposal that is both fresh and solid, which places him in line with Nekfeu and OrelSan, but less cynical. Evoking the appearance of a Jérôme Rocipon (singing half of the late Number#), Fredz gives the impression of having grown up between Paris and Brussels due to certain choices of words, but he comes from the southern suburbs of Montreal. Bowl cut, round glasses, he appears on stage with a mixture of enthusiasm and candor that captures the attention, that of Cyril Kamar (K.Maro), at the head of the Parisian E.47. The quality level of the production would benefit from being raised a notch to amplify certain effects, but there is no doubt that Fredz will be able to make its way.
