Since August 28, 2023, Julia Vignali has been the new face of the France 2 show, “Deal done”. The program, launched in 2017 by Sophie Davant, achieved all records for the public service channel. Following this triumph, the 60-year-old host decided to leave to devote herself to new adventures on Europe 1. And in the process, she could have become an actress in a series which is promised to be a great success.

On November 20, 2023, Kad Merad and Olivier Baroux landed on Canal + with “Pamela Rose, the series”. And in the casting, we find Julia Vignali. The former host of Télématin with Thomas Sotto is none other than the wife of Kad Merad. And she appears in the series to play “an American journalist”, the latter confides to Télé Star. A choice that was imposed while the duo had previously “made tests with actresses”without much success.
“It didn’t work well.” explains Kad Merad, before Olivier Baroux adds: “We tried Sophie Davant, remember!” And finally if the choice fell on Julia Vignali, it is because the director Ludovic Colbeau-Justin “has proposed” to ask him. Kad Merad says: “She gave it a try, and she was great.”.

And fans of the tandem who have known each other since the 90s will be delighted, since the star adds: “There is also my son, and Olivier’s son and daughter”.
As for Sophie Davant, as an actress, it’s only a postponement. To date, the star of the small screen already has a few roles in the theater or in TV films to his credit. On his CV? Sophie Davant is also a prolific author, with some practical works, including the latest “Sophie Davant, Everything that binds us: confidence for confidence“, was released in 2021.
