“Asshole!”, Hélène Ségara evokes her mysterious illness on “Quelle époque”, Christophe Dechavanne explodes

Guest on the set of What an era! This Saturday, November 25, 2023, Hélène Ségara discussed very intimate subjects on set. Facing Léa Salamé, the juror of France has an unbelievable talent spoke about the death of her dad, her past as a difficult single mother and even her eye disease.

Encouraged by the host who made it known that, like Florent Pagny, she “found it very good when famous artists talk about their illness”Hélène Ségara spoke about the terrible messages she received while she was in the middle of treatment.

“When you are a public person like me and you are under the gaze of people, you see changes. And I receive messages on social networks where they say to me ‘How dare you justify your botched surgeries saying you’re sick?'”she revealed.

An inappropriate question that made Christophe Dechavanne jump. Léa Salamé’s right arm indeed released a “connard” before turning to Hélène Ségara to simply ask her how she was.

“I live with treatment”

“I’m stable. I live with eye treatment. We were able to save one of my eyes but I lost an eye. I see you thanks to this treatment which stabilized me, but I almost got into black”she explained.

A constant fight against illness… Despite everything, Hélène Ségara continues to see the glass half full: “I find that my perception needs to change. I think that I have other struggles than certain negative things that I hear around me. I don’t attach myself to negative things but to the life force. I think that people are going through much more terrible things than me.”, she said. A great example of resilience.
