Assessment of COVID-19 in Quebec | Six more hospitalizations, four deaths

(Montreal) Four other Quebecers have succumbed to COVID-19, according to the latest government report on Friday, which also reports a relative stabilization of hospitalizations.

Of the four new deaths, only one occurred in the last 24 hours. Another occurred two to seven days ago, and three more than seven days ago.

Since the start of the pandemic, 18,053 Quebecers have lost their lives in connection with COVID-19.

Hospitalizations have not changed much since Thursday’s report. With a modest increase of six, there were 1,319 people with COVID-19 who are hospitalized, including 437 due to the disease.

In intensive care, 33 people were treated, including 22 specifically for the disease, which represents a decrease of one patient.

The number of cases remained at a relatively low level, with 483 new infections, but remember that this data should be taken with a grain of salt given the limited access to screening centers.

Quebecers also declared 46 rapid tests on Thursday, including 36 positive.

On the vaccination side, 1776 doses were administered on Thursday.
