Assessment of COVID-19 in Quebec | Hospitalizations remain stable, 10 new deaths

(Montreal) Ten other Quebecers with COVID-19 have lost their lives, according to the latest government report, which reports a relative stabilization in hospitals.

Of the ten new deaths announced on Friday, nine occurred more than seven days ago. Another occurred two to seven days ago.

Since the start of the pandemic, 18,124 Quebecers have succumbed to the disease.

After a relatively notable increase in hospitalizations on Thursday, the situation seemed to have stabilized in the last hours.

As of Friday, 1,326 patients were hospitalized, including 444 due to the disease, which represents an increase of one since the previous day.

Three more people ended up in intensive care, for a total of 34, including 17 who were being treated specifically for COVID-19.

The number of cases remained stable at 443, but this data should always be taken with a grain of salt since access to screening centers is limited. Quebecers also reported 37 positive rapid tests on Thursday.

On the vaccination side, 2,202 Quebecers reached out on Thursday.
