Assessment of COVID-19 in Quebec | Four deaths, 758 new cases

(Montreal) Quebec reported four new deaths attributed to COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the death toll to 16,044 since the start of the pandemic.

758 new cases were also reported, for a total of 1,156,633. The number of cases listed is not representative of the situation, however, since access to screening centers is restricted to priority clienteles.

A total of 272,822 rapid tests have been self-reported so far on the government platform, including 228,140 positives. For the day on Sunday, 249 tests were declared, including 212 positive.

A total of 4,078 health care workers are absent for reasons related to COVID-19, such as preventive withdrawal or isolation.

Data on hospitalizations and intensive care are no longer counted on weekends.

The Ministry of Health indicates that 8045 analyzes were carried out on Sunday and that the positivity rate is 9.8%.

Among those aged 5 and over, 91% received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, 56% received a third dose and 18% obtained a fourth dose. Among those aged 60 and over, 52% went for a fourth dose.
