Assessment of COVID-19 in Quebec | 31 fewer hospitalizations, four deaths

(Montreal) Hospitalizations related to COVID-19 continue to decline and are about to drop below 1,400.

According to the government report published on Friday, 1,408 patients with COVID-19 were hospitalized, including 441 due to the disease, a decrease of 31 since the previous day.

One less patient was being treated in intensive care, bringing the total to 24, including only 14 who were being treated specifically for the disease.

Four new deaths have been announced, but none have occurred in the past few hours. One person died two to seven days ago and three more than seven days ago.

In all, since the start of the pandemic, 17,971 Quebecers have lost their lives.

Cases continue to remain at a relatively low level, with 524 new infections recorded in the latest report. However, this data should be taken with a grain of salt since access to the centers is still limited to priority clienteles.

Quebecers declared 49 rapid tests on Thursday, including 45 that turned out to be positive.

On the vaccination side, 2,447 Quebecers reached out on Thursday.
