Quebec is reporting 1,512 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, as well as one additional death. Hospitalizations are down, as five fewer people are hospitalized due to the virus.
The new cases reported on Saturday bring the seven-day average of daily cases to 1,089.
A total of 225 people are hospitalized as a result of COVID-19. Of these, 60 patients are in intensive care, three more than the day before.
The number of active outbreaks increased from 805 to 806.
A total of 35,856 analyzes were performed on December 2. The positivity rate remained at 4.0.
As of Friday, 81.4% of all Quebecers had received at least one dose of the vaccine. In total, 78% of the province’s population was adequately immunized.
As for young people aged 5 to 11, 19% of this age group had received a first injection on Friday.
