Assessment of COVID-19 | 1,189 new cases, two deaths

Authorities reported on Monday 1,189 new reported cases of COVID-19 in Quebec in the past 24 hours. To this toll are added two additional deaths, for a total of 11,589 attributed to the coronavirus.

This brings the daily case average to 1,205. The trend is up 33% over one week.

The two additional deaths bring the daily average to two. The trend is thus stable over one week.

Public Health also reports an increase of seven hospitalizations since the day before in the province, bringing the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 to 226. There were 20 new admissions to care facilities and 13 new discharges.

Across the country, there are 62 patients in intensive care, three more than the day before.

As of December 4, 27,847 screening tests have been performed.

Regarding vaccination, 20,515 doses were administered, or 19,746 in the last 24 hours and 769 before December 5, for a total of 13,776,224.

To date, 82.1% of Quebecers have received at least one dose, and 78.1% are fully vaccinated.
