Since last summer, police have been monitoring several men, agents recognized by the French Football Federation and other individuals who would also participate in the transfer of players but without having licenses. The calls and messages gathered by the investigators would leave little doubt as to the nature of the exchanges between the various suspects according to the newspaper l’Équipe.

The club would have only dealt with an official agent

Accounting documents were seized at the head office in Saint-Étienne, in the presence of the Chairman of the ASSE Executive Board, Roland Romeyer. There would be direct contacts between one of the respondents and the co-shareholder of the Greens. The club was heard as a witness and the search would relate to a single transfer according to the ASS, which claims to have treated only with a licensed agent by the federation.

One of the officers taken into custody is said to have represented Adil Aouchiche in the past. The young attacking midfielder arrived in the Loire from Paris Saint-Germain in 2020. Another club was raided on Tuesday, SCO d’Angers, 14th in the last Ligue 1 season.
