Pierre Alessandri, one of the three members of the commando who assassinated prefect Claude Érignac 25 years ago, is now placed on an electronic bracelet, and can therefore return to live at home.

25 years after the assassination of prefect Claude Érignac, February 6, 1998 in Ajaccio (South Corsica)one of the three members of the commando behind this murder has just been released from prison. This is Peter Alessandri. He was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2003. Rock Alessandri had benefited from a semi-release regime since March. Now placed under electronic bracelethe can return to live at home Cargèse (South Corsica).

Conditional release possible from February 2024

First incarcerated in Poissy (Yvelines)Rock Alessandri had been transferred in 2022 to the prison of Borgo (Upper Corsica). A way for the authorities to stop the riots which followed Yvan’s assassination Colonna in March 2022. According to Pierre’s lawyer Alessandriconditional release is possible from next year, in February 2024.
