Rugby player Federico Martin Aramburu was killed in the street on Saturday March 19 in Paris. A woman arrested on Monday March 21, presumed to be the driver of the car from which people shot at the rugby player, must be indicted.

It was while leaving the bar Le Mabillon, in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, that the rugby player was killed. Federico Martin Aramburu had come to spend a few days in Paris, to watch the France-England match. On the morning of Saturday March 19, he is sitting on a terrace with his friend, rugby player Shawn Hegarty. They have a brief altercation with a group, before leaving the establishment. They are then overtaken by a car.

CCTV cameras show two people opening fire. The Argentinian rugby player is hit and succumbs to his injuries. On Monday March 21, the police arrested the alleged driver. The two shooters are actively sought after. According to the police, they are far-right activists. The Argentinian rugby player had spent part of his career in France, notably under the colors of Biarritz (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), from 2004 to 2006. Federico Martin Aramburu was 42 years old, he was the father of three children.
