As long as the Hells Angels pay their taxes, there’s nothing there!

Last weekend, several members of the Hells Angels and their school clubs gathered in Frampton en Beauce to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Quebec chapter and, at the same time, to discuss business and dub newcomers.

This kind of parade, which brings together police and criminals at high mass, is now part of the Quebec landscape. Moreover, the criminal ecosystem is a living machine that feeds on these interactions. Whether it is police arrests, internal purges, shootings, everything is a matter of transforming it.

In the criminal world, it is well known that the police can contribute to the elimination of adversaries and strengthen the power of certain groups. Just spread the word to informants. It’s all about balance. Think of it as a game of chess where there is no possibility of checkmate.

However, there is nothing worse in a society than those who play ostriches. As Einstein said, “The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch idly.”

A complacent mayor?

That the Hells Angels parade and make meetings, impressive and intimidating with their motorcycles and their patches, fine, but that the mayor sees no inconvenience and accepts their presence on his territory, it is really a return to square one .

According to Mr. Audet, mayor of Frampton, as long as the Hells pay their taxes and do not disturb anyone in his municipality, the rest of their actions perpetrated elsewhere in Quebec seem to be the least of his worries. He prefers to collect the taxes and put his head in the sand, even if the Dark Souls, a school club made up of drug dealers and henchmen of the Hells, have a storefront in Frampton.

What to say? Trivialization and fear? Are there other reasons?

Improve the anti-bunker law

In 1997, the Planning and Development Act was amended to allow municipalities to get rid of bunkers and biker premises. They can then use section 118 of the Act to adopt a regulation obstructing the presence of bunkers on their territory. Several municipalities have used it to close or counter the installation of premises of the Hells Angels and their school clubs. What is the mayor of Frampton waiting for?

It is true that it is more complex to issue a regulation according to 118, since the Hells tend more and more to circumvent this provision of the Law by no longer building fortifications or protective elements around their premises. Of course, they no longer need it, since they are no longer at war and know full well that it is preferable to operate in a submarine.

It therefore becomes obvious that this Law needs a rejuvenation. How about including a provision prohibiting any criminal group from opening premises with or without fortification?
