Artist residencies at PHI

The Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) and the PHI center announced on Monday the establishment of a six-month artist residency.

This artist residency, which will begin in the winter of 2024, will allow at least two artists – one from Montreal and one from outside the metropolitan area – to work for six months on a project with the theme of public engagement. .

The CALQ will grant a grant of $12,000 to each of the artists selected, as well as accommodation for the artist from outside Montreal. For its part, PHI will provide a fee for presentation, exhibition and production rights, and will offer artistic support throughout the duration of the residency.

Artists have until May 5 to apply.
