On the occasion of Médias en Seine on November 22, the first international festival of the media of tomorrow, Franceinfo Talk is relocating its studio to the Agora of the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique. Major media players come to discuss the future of the media, at a time of multiple crises.
In a context where crises are multiplying, the media are spectators, witnesses and actors of a world in complete upheaval, all embarked on a new phase of innovation. In an increasingly connected society, the consumption of images, texts, sounds and content has never been so massive. In this, the media see new opportunities offered, but have a certain responsibility.
On November 22, the international Médias en Seine festival, co-organized by franceinfo and the group Les Échos-Le Parisien, welcomes 160 French and international speakers around more than 70 sequences. The franceinfo Talk, hosted by Ludo Pauchant, discusses the role and responsibility of the media in times of crisis around three themes: intelligence as a tool, young people’s mistrust of the media and the fight against fake news.
Fight against fake news
To discuss the fight against fake news, Ludo Pauchant receives Thomas Huchon, journalist and specialist in fake news and conspiracy theories, co-author of Anti Fake News – The essential book to disentangle the true from the false published by First. At his side, Victoria Bennardi, editor-in-chief of Fast Infos, Thomas Pontillon, journalist at the Vrai du Faux unit of franceinfo and Albert Moukheiber, clinical psychologist, doctor in cognitive neuroscience.
Artificial intelligence, a real tool for the media?
After web 2.0 and social networks, then web 3.0 and the metaverse, artificial intelligence has become a tool for the media of today, and possibly tomorrow. However, what impacts can we expect for the information industry and the media industry? Nicolas Nerrant, editor-in-chief of Brut.IA, and Ioana Manolescu, research director at Inria discuss this subject in the franceinfo Talk.
How can we overcome young people’s mistrust of the media?
Faced with young people’s distrust of the media, in the age of social networks and the proliferation of information tools, media players must win back part of the population. Ludo Pauchant receives Léo Tescher, journalist from the podcast “What does it say?” from franceinfo, Luca Lescop, founder of Fast Infos and Salomé Saqué, Blast journalist, author of Be young and shut up published by Payot.
