A motorcyclist died and four other people were injured Sunday in a road accident in Saint-Christophe-d’Arthabaska, near Victoriaville.

The events took place around 4:30 p.m. on Route 161. A first motorist “deviated from his lane for an unknown reason and hit an oncoming motorcycle, then he hit a second motorcycle, and then he hit another vehicle, ”explained agent Béatrice Dorsainville, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The first motorcyclist died, while four other people suffered minor injuries.
Route 161 was closed and two SQ reconstructionists were dispatched to the scene to shed light on the events.
