The multimillionaire who allegedly ordered a series of arson attacks against his competitors was arrested Wednesday by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

Mr. Folla was formally charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offense and committing arson between December 2017 and November 2022.

Another individual is also targeted by conspiracy charges.

The two co-defendants, Benjamin Amar and Alain Marc Namias, appeared yesterday.

Eight arsons and two attempted arsons in the Laurentians are alleged, according to data from the investigation conducted by the SQ.

Sutton Quebec declined TVA Nouvelles’ interview request, but sent a written statement which states:

“Mr. Since yesterday, Folla has been removed from the articles of incorporation of Sutton Quebec. He is therefore no longer an administrator, there is no longer any link between Christophe Follas and Sutton. Sutton’s activities continue.”

The Royal LePage agency told TVA Nouvelles that it was “pleased to see that significant progress has been made in this matter which has had a considerable impact on the Royal LePage team.”

The Crown opposes the release of Mr. Folla who remains detained.
