A business in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough was the target of an arson attack early Saturday morning.
It was around 5 a.m. that the authorities were called regarding a fire in a business on rue Charles-De-Latour in Montreal. Fortunately, firefighters quickly brought the flames under control and no one was injured.
The origin of the flames being suspicious, the file was transferred to the arson section of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
“Investigators are still on site to understand the circumstances surrounding this event,” said Gabrielle Youakim, SPVM spokesperson, adding that the cause of the fire still remains unknown.
