The Dr Arruda confirmed this information on Wednesday morning at the microphone of host Paul Arcand, of 98.5 FM.

It comes at a time when parliamentarians are wondering what the crisis staff of Prime Minister Legault really knew, of which the Dr Arruda, about the situation in CHSLDs.

Asked if his wife, DD Nicole Mercier, had informed him of certain problems in the field, Horacio Arruda replied that the center where she worked had less trouble than the others.

For example, his wife did not mention a lack of equipment. “She said there were complex situations because patients were arriving, but at her center, she did not experience the same issues that have been exposed elsewhere. ”

And personnel issues, the host asked. “Well, they organized themselves, replied the D.r Arruda. It wasn’t necessarily easy, […], but the care was still being given adequately. ”

Has he sounded the alarm at the crisis staff? The DD Mercier did not arrive at the CHSLD until April, according to the national director of public health. “I would have to check the date exactly. ”

The Dr Arruda said during the interview that his wife had practiced in a CHSLD for a long time before the COVID-19 crisis broke out. He praised his experience with seniors.
