arrival of the first self-service scooters

It is a company from Angers that provides these electric scooters. Pony is already present in ten cities in France and Belgium. To borrow them, you must obviously download an application on your laptop.

The Pony application will allow you to locate the nearest available scooters. Just scan the QR code to start your journey. When you arrived, watch out, do not leave the scooter anywhere. Here again the application will guide you: ” You spot a coral-colored “p” on the application. Guilhem explains. ” The coral color symbolizes the car parks. You come to park. You will be asked to take an end-of-ride photo to verify that you are parked correctly. You validate and you will be billed for the trip. ”

This parade makes it possible to limit vandalism. Another innovative idea to empower users, you can invest in a scooter and get the profit : ” We take care of charging, maintenance ” says Paul-Adrien Cormerais, founder and president of Pony. ” You really don’t have to do anything and you will receive 50% of the amount of the races carried out by users with your scooter. You will also benefit from an attractive price on your own races. You have to invest 1090 euros for this.

If Philippe Martin, delegated mayor of Asnières les Bourges, was seduced by the Pony scooters, it is also for another reason: ” They are equipped with a small shock absorber on the front wheel and it is not too much to roll on the many cobblestones of the city center. this is also why we opted for this company over its competitor. We are the first city in the Center Val-de-Loire region to offer self-service scooters. We hope that this will help to show a dynamic image of Bourges, but also an ecological one. A modern city and that’s going in the right direction as we apply to become European Capital of Culture. We want to show that we count and that things are moving here!

About sixty self-service bicycles are also deployed in Bourges by the company Bike Air.
