The Tour de France 2022 stops in Longwy. The city of Meurthe-et-Moselle welcomes this Thursday, July 7, the arrival of the 6th stage of the Big Loop, the longest of this edition: 219.9 km between Binche (Belgium) and Longwy. The mayor of Longwy, Jean-Marc Fournel, explained to France Bleu Lorraine that the mileage of the race had more than doubled compared to the 2017 edition, going from 2.5 to 5.5 km. The constraints are therefore greater for the inhabitants, but so is the show.

The streets used by the publicity caravan and by the peloton are privatized and closed to traffic from noon on Thursday July 7 until the end of the race.
