The DFCO continues to recruit for its women’s team. The club announced yesterday the arrival of Danish international Cécilie Sandvej. The defender signed for two years with the Dijon club.
Coming from Birmingham
She has already played in France during two seasons at Fleury. But last year she wore the Birmingham Premier League shirt. Aged 32, Cécilie Sandveja has already played more than 100 matches in the Bundesliga with SC Sand and FFC Francfurt.
Under shirt number 3
At DFCO, she will wear number 3. According to the manager of the women’s club, Sylvain Carric: ” We were looking for a left-handed defender with solid European experience. Cecilie is a hard worker with a superb state of mind. She also presents a fairly complete profile with her head on her shoulders. I think it will allow us to take a step forward in terms of professionalism”.
Three new defenders next season
This recruitment is in addition to those on the defense side of Morgane Martins and Malgorzata Grec, Emily Burns as goalkeeper, Maria Diaz as winger, Roselord Borgella and Madeline Roth as attackers.
