A 57-year-old woman allegedly had the bad idea of stealing Amazon packages from her neighborhood in Sherbrooke, before selling the fruits of her larceny at a garage sale on Hélène-Boullé Street, warning residents of the sector.

The police explained that they were contacted on Saturday by several citizens convinced that the lady was trying to sell stolen goods.
“According to our information, the lady was caught stealing Amazon packages from many residents of the area. Videos of these thefts were also circulating on social media,” detailed the Sherbrooke police.
Videos have actually circulated on Facebook pages showing the suspect in the process of seizing packages, in the days preceding her arrest.
Confronted by officers who seized electronics and her vehicle, the woman escalated her case by attempting to resist arrest, including pushing and kicking an officer, the police force said.
