An arrest that he had a lot of trouble understanding given that “no one wears a helmet”. Once the fine paid and a helmet purchased, it was because he was taking a forbidden direction that the police forced him to pull over to the side. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know otherwise I wouldn’t have done it”he defended himself but that did not prevent the policeman from “sticking a plum” to him of 12,000 CFA francs, or a little less than 19 euros.
An altercation that could have ended badly
