Called because of the annoying noise generated by the shooting of a music video, the SPVM arrested a young suspect linked to street gangs on the night of Thursday to Friday. Authorities also seized two firearms during the intervention in a dwelling in southwest Montreal.
At around 2:15 a.m., the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) received a call for a noise complaint in a building on Center Street, near Charlevoix Street.
On the spot, the police noticed the presence of several individuals. “When they saw the police, some of them started to go down the stairs to get out. One of them jostled with a police officer, he then fled on foot but was caught up and arrested, ”said agent Jean-Pierre Brabant, spokesperson for the police force.
According to our sources, the suspect Frantz junior Philippe Auguste is linked to Chomedey 45, a Laval street gang.
The accused carried a firearm with him, concealed in a bag. “Other individuals have been arrested but not charged for the moment. The investigation is continuing, ”said agent Brabant.
According to our information, the arrest came while the suspects were shooting a music video in an Airbnb accommodation. The group was filming themselves making gestures by simulating a weapon when the events started.
