The president of the National Cinema Center must be tried in June for accusations of sexual assault on his 21-year-old godson, which he disputes.

“End clap on the attackers”. More than a hundred people, including actress Judith Godrèche, gathered on Monday, May 13, in front of the headquarters of the National Center for Cinema and Animated Images (CNC) in Paris, to demand the resignation of its president Dominique Boutonnat, accused of attempted rape and sexual assault. “The person who represents [le CNC] must be someone who leads by example”insisted the actress, who in recent months has become one of the spearheads of the #MeToo movement in France.

“Today we are witnessing a mobilization of the entire industry to address the issue of preventing and combating gender-based and sexual violence”recalled Fanny de Casimacker, general delegate of the 50/50 Collective.

“It is completely inconsistent that, in this dynamic, at the presidency of the CNC there is still a person who is accused of sexual assault.”
