Arnaud Démare vice-champion of Europe in road cycling behind Fabio Jakobsen

A rather calm race and a French silver medal. Cyclist Arnaud Démare was able to enjoy a fine second place in the road event of the European Championships in Munich (Germany), Sunday August 14th. Best sprinter in the Tour of Italy, Arnaud Démare once again made his solidity and speed speak for itself, even if the Groupama FDJ rider would no doubt have dreamed of climbing to the top step of the podium at the end of these 207.9 km. But the returning Fabio Jakobsen, winner of the 2nd stage of the Tour this year, is indeed one of the strong men of the world sprint this season.
