Armoni Brooks signs long-term contract with Raptors

(Toronto) The Toronto Raptors signed guard Armoni Brooks to a multi-year contract on Saturday.

The deal came as Brooks’ second 10-day contract with the Raptors came to an end, and just hours before the game against the Indiana Pacers at Scotiabank Arena.

In eight games with the Toronto squad, Brooks posted averages per game of 2.9 points, 1.4 rebounds collected and 11.1 minutes played.

In the Raptors’ 117-104 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, Brooks made a big three-pointer during the fourth quarter.

He’s scored at least six points in each of the past three games and had three points, four rebounds and two assists in his only start with the Raptors on March 12 in Denver.

In 49 games, including nine starts with the Houston Rockets and Raptors, Brooks scored 5.7 points per game. He averaged 15.9 minutes, grabbed 1.9 rebounds and had 1.1 assists.
