Goris, in Armenia, is saturated with cars on Wednesday September 27. The flow is interrupted. On the roofs of vehicles, chairs, blankets and even bags of clothes piled up. These thousands of Armenians arrive from the neighboring country, Azerbaijan. They lived in an enclave, Karabakh. Their villages were stormed by Azerbaijani soldiers. “We ran away. We know that the Azeris entered our villages after our departure“, confides a mother.
Already two wars in the past
Armenians and Azerbaijanis have gone to war twice in the past. A couple, aged 79 and 82, tells us. “They cut throats, they murder“, testifies the man. The woman kept the key to her house, so that the Azeris could not enter. In the flow of refugees, a father and his sons also sleep in the back of a truck.
