A person was seriously injured Saturday morning following an armed assault in Vaudreuil-Dorion, in Montérégie.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) was called to intervene on Montcalm Street around 6:45 a.m. for a possible armed assault. The victim, a woman in her thirties, was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, said Nicolas Scholtus, spokesperson for the SQ.
The scene was secured and forensic technicians were dispatched to the scene to conduct an analysis.
The investigation is continuing.
