(New York) Arizona Coyotes forward Jason Zucker was suspended three games by the NHL on Wednesday night for his illegal check against the boards against forward Nick Cousins.
The day before, Zucker received a major penalty and an ejection from the game for his action, with 51 seconds left in the third period in a game that the Florida Panthers won 4-1.
Zucker also received a five-minute penalty for fighting against defender Gustav Forsling after he was hit.
In its explanation of the suspension, the NHL said it was a check from behind against an unprotected player who no longer had the puck.
