Argument outside the bars | Armed attack in downtown Montreal

A man in his twenties was seriously injured after being stabbed outside a bar in downtown Montreal.


The Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) intervened near De Maisonneuve Boulevard and Peel Street around 3 a.m. Saturday. Officers responded to a 911 call regarding an injured man in an alley.

Authorities located the victim, a 26-year-old man. He was allegedly stabbed during an argument near a restaurant-bar. “His condition is considered critical, but stable,” said agent Jean-Pierre Brabant, media relations.

Investigators will go to the site to clarify the circumstances of this fight which allegedly degenerated. No arrests have been reported at this time.

According to our information, the victim is not known to the police.
