Argos get back on track with 33-17 win over Lions

(Vancouver) Chad Kelly and the Toronto Argonauts got back on track after two straight losses on Friday, winning 33-17 over the BC Lions.


Kelly had 268 passing yards, including one touchdown.

He also reached the pay zone on the ground.

Lirim Hajrullahu had six field goals for the Argonauts (8-6), including a 51-yarder.

Nathan Rourke threw for 110 yards for the Lions (7-7).

He also had a rushing touchdown before being replaced by Vernon Adams to start the third quarter.

The Argos led the way with seven sacks, totaling 57 yards of losses.

The Lions struggled from the start, punting four times in the first quarter.

Lions wide receiver Alexander Hollins left early in the second quarter with an apparent left shoulder injury after attempting to catch a long pass from Rourke.

He ranks second among his team for receiving yards.

Toronto will play again next Friday at home, against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

The Lions will be back in action on September 27 at home, against the Ti-Cats.
