In Argentina, Sergio Massa, Peronist candidate, and Javier Milei, libertarian polemicist are the two candidates qualified for the second round of the presidential elections, which will take place on November 19.

Despite inflation, Sergio Massa, candidate peronist and Minister of the Economy, is THE surprise winner of the first round of the Argentine presidential election. He defied all the polls to come first with 36.6% voices. “On November 19, we will have to decide whether we build a country that welcomes everyone or a country where everyone for themselves reigns”proclaimed the candidate. Every man for himself is defended by Javier Milei. With 30% votes, the libertarian candidate confirms his breakthrough.

A setback for the opposition

The polemicist followed an anti-system red thread against caste peronist and liberal who has succeeded one another in power for 20 years. Anti-abortion and pro-arms, the one who says he prefers the mafia to the government wants to considerably reduce the weight of the State, and even cut it apart. “A third of Argentinians voted for change, for an alternative to this government which wants to mortgage our future”assured Javier Milei. For the first time since the return of democracy to Argentina, the opposition was swept away in the first round. Candidate Patricia Bullrich does not call for voting for either of the two qualifiers.
