Members of Argentina’s National Gendarmerie found 100 parrots in the trunk of a car during a traffic check on Wednesday.

The birds, transported in poor conditions in the middle of a heat wave, were taken to the municipal zoo of Resistencia where they will be cared for before being released into their natural habitat.
