“Aren’t you looking at me?”

Paris Fashion Week has been in full swing since September 25. This Monday, October 2, 2023, it was the turn of the Louis Vuitton house to unveil its vision of ready-to-wear fashion for Spring/Summer. During the show which was held on the Champs-Élysées, the famous influencer Jeremstar tried to burst in and disrupt the event before being arrested by the police.

A fervent defender of the animal cause, the young man came to denounce the use of exotic skins by the emblematic French label. A video relayed by the animal rights association Peta reveals images of Jeremstar covered in blood and dressed in fake snakeskin, escorted by two police officers. “No to animal suffering!” he says to convey his message which directly echoes the recent revelations of Peta, who on the same day revealed the conditions in which exotic animals – mainly snakes – were mistreated so that their skin was used as fashion accessory.

A few moments later, Jeremstar was invited onto the set of the show Do not touch My TV and explained to Cyril Hanouna and his columnists why it seemed important for him to protest and that against all expectations, his arrest was not so forceful: “I was released straight away, they told me that they agreed with me. The police were admirable. The fight was understood, they even made me understand that I had the right to do so. redo! There was no crime, there was no police custody” he assured.

Géraldine Maillet and Jeremstar: tense exchange live in TPMP

Géraldine Maillet was then invited to give her opinion on the matter.“I find that your happening is a little ridiculous, a little ridiculous, what are you doing with…” she began before interrupting to ask the guest: “You don’t look at me when I talk to you?”. Amused but visibly annoyed, Jeremstar then retorted: “Yes, I know you’ve had my sights on me for a while but I’m listening!”.

The columnist then made a small clarification by saying: “No, don’t take it personally!”. And Cyril Hanouna adds another layer: “I think she doesn’t like your face…”. After listening to Géraldine Maillet’s question, Jeremstar, stung, declared: “It’s funny because when we do something, people come and ask us what we’re not doing…”. A rather tense exchange, of which here is the extract.
