At the end of 2020, hope is reborn with the start of vaccination. The year 2021 is lived to the rhythm of variants: Alpha, Delta, and Omicron. Officially, 130 million Europeans have contracted the virus, and 1.74 million have died. L’epidemic isbehind us? “We are going to have an immunity that will gradually cover the greatest number of people and return to an almost normal rhythm of life”, explains the epidemiologist Phillip Amouyel. Hope is expected for spring. Until then, the Omicron wave continues to progress in most European countries.
