Is tap water reliable everywhere in the country? For some French people, the answer is no. Ceramic beads, charcoal or even filters of all kinds… so many systems used to purify water as much as possible. In a well-known DIY store, it is possible to find products dedicated to water purification. The prices of these items can range from 15 to 150 euros.
An improved taste of water or the disappearance of certain undesirable molecules… so many reasons why water filtering methods are all the rage among the French. However, as expensive as they are, there is no standard to verify the effectiveness of filters and products, and the Ministry of Health does not issue any approval in this regard.
