Arcom (ex-CSA) seized after remarks deemed “unacceptable”: who is the columnist in question?

The interministerial delegation for the fight against racism, anti-Semitism and anti-LGBT hatred (Dilcrah) announced on Friday May 20, 2022 from its Twitter account that it had seized the Audiovisual Communication Regulatory Authority (Arcom, ex- CSA) after the “unacceptable words” held the day before in “TPMP”. In question? Raymond Aabou had made a small slippage by responding to a speech by Hugo Manos. The latter then came to defend Matthieu Delormeau who had been at the heart of a heated clash with Gilles Green.

The truth is that for the same debate on racism, around the table, everyone would have said the same thing. When it comes to homosexuality, that’s not a problem, we can afford to say ‘I’m not ok with a certain number of things’“, lamented the influencer and entrepreneur. Raymond then wanted to temper the opinion of the companion of Laurent Ruquier, even if it meant tripping over the carpet and being very clumsy: “In the eyes of some people, you are not normal” […] “There are people who don’t like fags, they say ‘as long as they don’t piss me off, it’s not my ass, they do whatever they want’.

Words which then created a great discomfort and forced Cyril Hanouna to return to the antenna, quite annoyed. The interministerial delegation for the fight against racism, anti-Semitism and anti-LGBT hatred (Dilcrah) has therefore decided to seize Arcom, formerly CSA, which plays the role of audiovisual policeman. “If it is necessary to recall it, homophobic behavior does not come under freedom of expression and has no place in our society.“, was indignant the delegation placed under the authority of the new Prime Minister, Elisabeth Borne.
