The idea of entrusting her songs to young artists came from Ariane Moffatt herself. It’s a nod to her own journey: she was just 23 when she released this record, concocted with Joseph Marchand and Francis Collard.
Ariane Roy, Thierry Larose, Arachnid, Marie Claudel, Robert Robert, Étienne Coppée, P’tit Béliveau and Les Shirley are among the artists invited to this Aquanaut 2022 to be released April 8. The details of the songs were not disclosed in the press release released on Monday.
Aquanaut, launched in June 2002, combines acoustic and electronic sounds in a licked sound bubble imbued with great sensitivity. It sold over 125,000 copies.
