The Montreal-born player’s agent is little known to fans, who expected the job to go to a much more famous face among Habs fans.

Anyone who speaks English and French is not unanimous among amateurs.

“Mr. Molson decided that it would happen the same way. Three-quarters of the people who come here are French-speaking,” proclaimed a supporter met by TVA Nouvelles in front of the Bell Center.

“We’re going to give the runner a chance,” proclaimed another fan.

“I would have agreed more with Patrick Roy,” said another Canadian fan.

Indeed, the name of Patrick Roy is certainly the one that thrilled supporters the most during the many weeks of speculation surrounding Marc Bergevin’s successor.

The former CH goalkeeper was the choice of many fans.

“It is (a decision of) business, because for the fans, everywhere on the social networks, it is written that Patrick Roy is the man of the situation, the one that Quebecers wanted”, affirms a supporter passionate.
