Vancouver and Whistler have previously hosted the 2010 Winter Games.
The Japanese city of Sapporo is currently in the lead for the 2030 Olympic Games. The International Olympic Committee has not specified when it will make its final choice for the host city.
With the exception of 2030, the IOC has already chosen its host cities until 2032.
The Beijing Winter Olympics will begin on February 4. They will be followed by the Paris Summer Games in 2024, the Milan-Cortina Winter Games in Italy in 2026, the Los Angeles Summer Games in 2028 and the Brisbane Summer Games, Australia. , in 2032.
