“I would have liked in the evening to entrust your sorrows to the night or to carry them on my back”, sings Apple. Dressed in white and hanging from strings, she pays homage to the life, work and death of the Quebec feminist figure. The writer of the autofictional story Whore is embodied by the French artist in the music video.

We can even hear an excerpt from an interview with Nelly Arcan in the video: “There is always the look that finally commands us to always be very beautiful and when we see ourselves in a photo, we lose control of our image. “Words that recall her feminist fight.

“It’s the song the most deep and the most intense clip I’ve done in my life,” the singer wrote on her Twitter account.

A reissue of his album Loopholes earned him the revelation album of the year award at the Victoires de la Musique in 2020. His next album Consolation will be released on August 26.
