Apocalypse Warlord 6×6 Ram 1500 TRX: ready for the end of the world?

Another tuner takes on the all-powerful Ram 1500 TRX. This time we’re talking about Florida-based Apocalypse, which has created a highly modified six-wheeled version called the Warload 6×6.

A few copies have already been made and one will go on sale at the Barrett-Jackson auction on January 29.

Similar to Hennessey’s Mammoth 6×6, the Apocalypse Warload 6×6 doesn’t go over the top to advertise 1,200 horsepower, but it boosts the supercharged V8 Hellcat from 702 to 797 horsepower, like the Dodge Charger and Challenger Hellcat Redeye .

The shock-absorbing six 20-inch wheels are shod with 37-inch tires and hooked up to a bespoke suspension that includes Bilstein shocks. The ground clearance amounts to almost 30 centimeters.

In all, this infernal truck is 7.5 meters long and 2.4 meters high. It is capable of towing loads of up to 12,000 pounds. However, its acceleration times are not specified (the regular TRX takes 4.5 seconds to reach 96 km/h and 12.9 seconds to complete the quarter mile).

We love how the “RAM” lettering on the grille and body has been taken over to create the “WAR”, as is the black and red leather accented with suede inside. Fortunately, to access the cabin, electric running boards are included. In addition, there are eight driving modes, including one called Baja for high-speed outings off the road. The bed-mounted full-size spare tire might come in handy, too.

By the way, Apocalypse was selling the truck for US$250,000 before options and the one offered at Barrett-Jackson’s auction will be sold without reserve, so whoever puts in the highest bid is guaranteed to walk away with the vehicle. . We are still far from Hennessey’s Mammoth 6×6, which was limited to three copies sold for US$500,000 each.
