(Montreal) Acadian novelist Antonine Maillet today met French President Emmanuel Macron, when she was elevated to the rank of Commander of the Legion of Honor.
This distinction is one of the highest awarded by the government of France to a person from outside the country.
Antonine Maillet is part of an Acadian delegation currently on an official visit to Paris.
