And three for Antoine Dupont. Winner of the championship and the European Cup with Toulouse and Olympic gold medalist with the French rugby 7s team, the scrum-half was voted best player in the Top 14 and best Bleu of the season, Monday, September 23, during the Nuit du Rugby.
Dupont, who was the flag bearer for the French delegation at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games, has won the title of best French international for the fourth consecutive time. This is his third double as best player in the league and in the national team after those of 2021 and 2023.
Preserved by the Toulouse club after his long season which ended with the 7-a-side victory at the Olympic Games, he could return to the Top 14 pitches in October. Stade Toulousain, double reigning champion and author of a championship-Champions Cup double last year, won the title of best staff like the previous season, with manager Ugo Mola at the helm.
Winger Théo Attissogbe, who had a great season with Pau and who had his first selection in Argentina this summer, was voted revelation of the year, succeeding his teammate, center Emilien Gailleton. In Pro D2, it was Béziers scrum-half Samuel Marques who was voted best player of the season. Vannes, promoted to the Top 14 for the first time in its history, won the title of best staff.
In the women’s competition, it was the 7s player, Séraphine Okemba, who won the title of best international. The winger was particularly prominent during the Olympic tournament with 7 tries, despite the early elimination of the Blues in the quarter-finals. A disappointment after the silver brought back from Tokyo in 2021.
