The Stade Toulousain player concluded the torch relay at the Ernest-Wallon stadium, in Toulouse, on Friday.
One of the best players in the world to carry the flame in his stadium and in front of his audience. Stade Toulousain rugby player and captain of the French XV during the last World Cup, Antoine Dupont, lit the cauldron to conclude the torch relay, Friday May 17, in Toulouse. The lighting took place on the lawn of the Ernest-Wallon stadium, the home of Stade Toulousain, in front of a noisy audience.
Before him, other club legends such as Maxime Médard, Vincent Clerc, Emile and Romain Ntamack also took part in the relay. It was also his teammate, penultimate torchbearer, who passed the flame to him.
Since the start of the year, Antoine Dupont has chosen to concentrate on rugby sevens with the aim of experiencing the Olympic Games with the French team. He has already participated in two tournaments with the Blues, in Los Angeles and Vancouver, at the end of February and the beginning of March.
